Sewer Backup and Sitting Water
This commercial space had a sewage backup that led to three drains overflowing. This caused sewage water to flood into the building’s basement throughout several spaces with concrete and tile flooring. Concrete’s permeable texture allows for water to seep into it, which can lead to cracking, and tile flooring has adhesives that can deteriorate with sitting water. Because of this, it is important to hire a team of SERVPRO professionals to fix the problem. In this particular space, SERVPRO experts cleared the blocked line to allow water to pass through the drains and extracted the sitting water from the basement. They then steam cleaned the affected areas in the main room, stairway, storage room and utility space, then applied an antimicrobial spray.
